The Dela Vega City Benevolent Society (DVCBS) believes that a clean, safe, and beautiful environment is the foundation for community pride, health, and unity. Our Beautification Program is dedicated to transforming Dela Vega City into a model community where residents and visitors feel inspired and secure.

What We Do

• Clean-Up Campaigns – Mobilizing residents and volunteers to remove garbage, address illegal dumping, and restore public spaces.

• Waste Management Advocacy – Working with government agencies and service providers to ensure consistent garbage collection and proper disposal systems.

• Infrastructure Renewal – Repairing sidewalks, lighting, block signs, and community spaces that have fallen into disrepair.

• Green & Grow Initiative – Planting trees, landscaping open areas, and creating green spaces for children and families to enjoy.

• Public Education – Promoting community pride through anti-dumping campaigns and workshops on sustainable waste practices.

• Removal of Derelict and Abandoned Vehicles – Partnering with authorities to identify and safely remove abandoned cars that create eyesores, attract crime, and pose safety risks.

• Clearing Blocked Drains – Coordinating clean-ups and working with municipal authorities to clear clogged drains, reduce flooding, and protect public health.

Our Impact So Far

• Negotiated with waste management officials during service disruptions, leading to the resumption of garbage collection.

• Secured resources and support from elected officials for community improvement.

• Oversaw the construction of the first new road in Dela Vega City in over 40 years.

• Installed and maintained block and road signage across several sections of the community.

• Hosted monthly clean-up drives that brought together residents, youth, and community partners.

• Infrastructure Milestone – Successfully lobbied for and celebrated the construction of the first new road in Dela Vega City in over 40 years.

• The GraceKennedy-sponsored Homework and Book Voucher Program, serving 50–90 students annually.
